Thushan has been a project leader at the Turtle Conservation Project since 1994. He is very active in international sea turtle conservation and management plans, and is a leader in sea turtle policy/conservation in Sri Lanka.

Christopher is completing his Master's thesis on sea turtle management in the Philippines. He has worked with several local communities on sea turtle conservation in the past (funded by AWARE and Rainforest Alliance), and plans to continue this work in the future.

Elizabeth holds a degree in Fisheries, and is now employed by the Kenyan government as a fisheries officer to oversee sea turtle conservation (and marine mammals, marine research, and aquaculture).

Kumaran holds a Masters degree in engineering, but has become a science/nature writer in India.

David has completed his masters in biology-related studies, and his thesis was on the impact of dive tourism on coral reefs. He is currently employed by the Israeli Nature and National Parks Protection Authority.

Diana has completed her masters in wildlife management, and is currently a biologist at a university in Uruguay. She is continuing her thesis research on southern sea lion interaction with artisanal fisheries.

Shaleyla has worked with sea turtle conservation and education programs in Costa Rica, and later co-founded a group in Peru focused on disseminating research & aiding sea turtle conservation. She is currently pursuing a doctorate degree at the Nicholas School of the Environment and Earth Sciences at Duke University.
Sarah Duke (Ireland)
Sarah is finishing her PhD thesis on population genetics of harbour porpoises around Ireland & Iceland.

Claire earned a BSc in Marine and Environmental Biology, and has completed internships with the WWF and IUCN. She also completed a filed position with the Sea Mammal Research Unit in Scotland, where she assisted in grey seal behavior studies. She is interested in mammal/fisheries interactions and currently works with mammals and primates at the zoo in Tulsa, OK.

Liesbeth completed her BSc in the United Kingdom, and she has participated in field research projects in both Russia and Greece. She now works for the British Antartic Survey, studying predators, including some work on the Amazon River dolphin.
